Here are my highlights from day two of Dublin: Christchurch Cathedral – Okay, I lied. This isn’t really a highlight from my trip. If anything, it was a lowlight (or whatever you call the opposites of highlights). Our hostel was right next to Christchurch watch anime Cathedral, so we figured we’d pop in and see what was up. Well, popping in cost us 8,50 each. Kinda pricey if you ask me. Thankfully, our ticket was also good for the adjoining Dublinia, or I would’ve been a lot more upset than I was. Anyway. Christchurch was cool. They had a very small treasury, and the underground catacombs were a bit creepy. Christchurch used to hold the heart of St. Lawrence O’Toole (patron saint of Dublin), but it had been stolen so we couldn’t see that… watch anime Overall, it was cool. Just maybe not the 4,25 kind of cool. Dublinia – After walking through the empty and spooky catacombs of Christchurch, we went over to Dublinia. A smart choice, since it was much more our speed. The museum is definitely aimed at children, but since we’re all kids anyway, we loved it. The museum is separated into three parts: Viking Dublin, Medieval Dublin, and Archaeology watch anime in Dublin. It was fun to learn about the city’s history, as well as try on Viking helmets and take selfies in the stocks. Jackie’s favorite part was about the “bathrooms” in Viking Dublin. But I’ll leave that to your imagination… Dubh Linn Gardens watch anime – Going along with the theme of us being poor college students, we skipped Dublin watch anime Castle and I led us straight to the Dubh Linn Gardens. watch anime From my last trip to Dublin, this was one of the few places that stuck with me, so I remember the story behind it. Legend says that the current location of the Dubh Linn Gardens is where the river Dodder formed a pool before flowing into the river Liffey (which runs through Dublin). This dark pool, know as the dubh linn , was where the Vikings first settled. watch anime Hence, it is considered watch anime by some to be the birthplace of Dublin. While there, Camille dubbed me as an official watch anime honorary Irishman with a rock she picked up in Booterstown. So from now on, I am Irish. Got a problem with it? Well too bad. Long hair, don’t watch anime care. BoBo’s - I stumbled upon BoBo’s when Z posted a link on Danica’s wall the night before I was leaving for Dublin. Out of curiosity, I clicked on the link and was brought watch anime to a magical watch anime website that promised the ambrosia and nectar of the gods. A.K.A. a gourmet burger restaurant. So I wrote down the address and hoped that we would find it. Well, the odds were in our favor because not only is there one BoBo’s, there are two. And we found the second (newer) one on our pub crawl Friday night. So for a late lunch on Saturday, we picked BoBo’s. And it was glorious. I had a bacon burger made of 100% Irish quality young heifer meat and a side of chips. It was delicious. And wonderful. And it made me so happy and so full (something that will later prove to be my downfall). Butler’s Chocolate Café – This is the part of my post where everything starts being about food. Sorry I’m not sorry. So, Butler’s Chocolate Café. Another one of Camille’s recommendations, and another great one. I like to consider myself a hot chocolate watch anime connoisseur, so when someone tells me to try a place’s hot chocolate, I am more than willing. Butler’s had pretty good hot chocolate (and more than one kind, which is always a bonus). In addition to a great and welcoming atmosphere, you also get a complimentary chocolate with your hot chocolate. So I got a dark chocolate Bailey’s truffle and it was delicious. Yup. Moving on… Lemon Crepe & Coffee Co. – What began as an innocent meal quickly turned into a dark page in my food history. We went at Camille’s recommendation (duh), and the first thing my eyes were drawn to on the menu was the Canadian Crepe. Why? Because the Canadian crepe was made with Canadian-esque bacon, maple syrup, and butter. Basically my dream in crepe form. So I ordered it (duh), and then ate it. This is when things took a turn for the worse… My stomach wasn’t completely empty from Bobo’s earlier, add in the Butler’s hot chocolate I had on the walk over, and well, I just wasn’t in the best of places. I got halfway through my crepe before I was stuffed. But as I told Jackie and Camille, “I [would] finish what I started.” I just had to Tebow repeatedly while I slowly finished my crepe. In all honesty though, watch anime my crepe was absolutely fantastic and I loved it (even though I was nearly sick). So go to Lemon Crepe & Coffee Co. and bring me with you because I can 1) find it and 2) not get sick this time!
So yeah, my trip back to Dublin was a little bit atypical than most (I assume). But it was glorious and wonderful, watch anime and I owe Jackie and Camille one triquetra tattoo. It was also really nice
